Room 3 - Pt England School

We have had a great time in Room 1 creating and building things that can improve school life at Pt England. Take a look.  

In Maths students had to estimate the length of an object and then measure it to see how close they were. Below is Marama's estimations and measurements.

Saturday 14th March saw our community of parents and whanau come out in full force to support our year 8 camp. It was a wonderful community day. We managed to raise $1,700 thanks to our generous community! Thank you and may many good things come your way

Meet Morris. Morris is Room 1's mascot and goes by the name of Morris the Monkey Mascot. Every week Morris gets to go home with a student of Room 1 who has been awesome during that week. Morris stays with that student for the weekend and hangs out with them and they're family. While Morris the Mascot Monkey is only a  mascot at times he likes to think he is the teacher. Sometimes he takes Mr Wiseman's keys and computer when Mr Wiseman's not looking...naughty Morris.

We are the students in Room1 at Pt England School. We're looking forward to what this year has in store for us.

Zeal Zone On fridy last week our senior block got to do Zeal Zone. There were five Zeal Zones, first one was  going somewhere , Second was  Art , Third was  Music , Forth was  come on lets eat  and the last one was  Values . We got to choose three zeal zones, I picked  Come on lets   eat ,  Music  and  Going some where . My first one was Come lets eat. Our teacher was Mrs Teala. We Walked to the hall with some bags of food, but also we needed to set up the tables as well. Our first instruction was to go on our net books and find out about wraps on our class site for zeal zone. After that we had to go into groups of 5, which then we shared the tables. We were given a big paper as our cover on the tables. Then we needed to get the food ready to make our wraps. First of all we put some Just hummus on our Tortilla . Then we added some grated carrots, cheese, ham and lettuce. We put them all together and then we made the wrap. The last thing we had to do was fold it into a way where

"Yay" im back at school. On the first day back at school we got to meet our new teacher his name is Mr Wiseman he is really cool. The first thing we did was go around the circle and tell everybody our name, that was kind of boring. Then we played a game when you sit in a circle and throw the wool in a circle and tell everybody what movie they liked, the it turned into a shape. After morning tea we got to play silent ball I keep getting out but then I keep coming 5th, Mr Wiseman said to all of us " the last 7 people standing gets a prize" and then I got a prize and was lollies. My highlight of the day was getting to know each other, I wish this year could be a brand new year. "Yay" 2015!!!!!!
